Paniyolo
Sometimes
Paniyolo's acoustic guitar album "Sometimes“ originally released in 2015 will be reissued with a new design in 2025.
Paniyolo's third album, which has been out of stock for a long time, released following "I'm home (2009)" and "Hitotema (2012)".
Music recording was done in 2015 at "guzuri recording house", a wooden cafe studio located in Iruma City, Saitama Prefecture, and invited Nakamura Daishi (tricolor, John John Festival etc) whom supported many of Paniyolo's live performances.
Recording at “guzuri”, a studio filled with a sound of everyday life, helped to create an album filled with warmth and gentle sound containing the sounds of creaking buildings, rain, trees swaying in the wind, the quiet sound of a kerosene stove, the rustling of clothes, and even the sound of breathing during the performance, that resonates quietly right next to the listener.
The album includes “Character of the Family” which has been sampled by various international track makers, and a re-performance of “Life“ a song from his first album "I'm Home”, and Bob Marley's classic song "Redemption Song".
Recording, mixing, and mastering were done by Suguru Oba from no.9 orchestra.
Design and photography by Shin Kikuchi, SCHOLE’s art director.
The newly redesigned album retains the image of the first edition, and additionally included many sceneries from the recording, with the liner notes by Toshihiko Terada, the owner of the select CD shop "Ame to Kyujitsu".
The melody from a gentle acoustic guitar will blend into our daily life and give warmth to our heart.
It is packed with the joy you will find sometimes in everyday life.
