[.que], an anticipated new sound artist, releases a long-awaited full length album.
A twenty-five years old Nao Kakimoto’s solo project [.que], after releasing two self production albums in the past and playing in various events, this young sound artist’s sound-craft skills are improving steadily.
Since last year, his sound works has developed to the next level, after involving in “SCHOLE HOPE PROJECT”, an aid project for Great East Japan Earthquake by SCHOLE, and a music contribution to the SCHOLE label’s fifth anniversary compilation album “Joy – schole compilation vol.3 -”.
A pure clear sound and melody overflows on the basis of an acoustic guitar, a simple but a minute calculated beats, and female chorus arranged for momentous scales. The delicate and skillful sound production shown in the album by [.que], a new-comer of folk-tronica generation has come to the one of the major point in his career as a sound artist. Also, this wonderful release is a great expectation to his future works.
Label-mate Paniyolo is featured as a guitarist, and a supervisor Akira Kosemura as a co-producer. Mix mastering by Hiroshi Iguchi, and an artwork by Shin Kikuchi.
This is the birth of a folk-tronica masterpiece “drama”, and it will make our daily life sceneries a little bit more dramatic.

Born in 1987, Tokushima. Based in Kanagawa Prefecture. [.que] is a solo project by musician Nao Kakimoto.
He creates the fragile and clear sound style using an acoustic guitar as basic tone layered with delicate electronics textures.
Started his project as [.que] in Osaka, since April 2010.
His composition was awarded as a best composition at the “FRED PERRY / WHY?” a music contest organized by FRED PERRY x MySpace, which welcomed Yukihiro Takahashi (YMO, pupa) as a judge.
Until now, he has released four albums.
The third album “drama” released in 2013 has been renowned as the masterpiece of folktronica.
Works in a various fields as a composer and sound designer, and provided tracks for advertisements, TV commercials, radio, and visual works.
From 2014, he moved from Osaka to Tokyo.
First concept album “Water’s Edge” released in September, 2014.
