The duo “synfilums" comprised of Shin Kikuchi and Itoko Toma has composed the background music for their art exhibition in 2023, and the sound works will be released as an album from the Schole Records’ art director Shin Kikuchi’s private label “88 landscapes”.

This album is scattered with fragments of improvised piano sound recorded between rehearsals of the live performance held during the exhibition, and it is mixed pleasantly with the field recordings captured where the photographic works were produced, then sound textures were adjusted to match the exhibition. The sound works will drift gently in a relaxed space.

All proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society and other organisations involved in the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery activities.
